Money
It's their money, they earned (?) it, they paid taxes on it...they can do what they want with it, none of our business.

...then more "power" to them, even tho it irks me. When I was docked near a mega yacht in Barra de Navidad that used a helicopter to fly from the deck to the local airport to bring in what the paid crew called "business guests," I had to wonder if it was just a tax dodge that makes the rest of us pay more.... The boat, of course, was not registered in the U.S. even though the owner, crew, and everything else was.

Really Rich have a Shadow Boat for their Yacht
Thats a work boat kinda boat. This is a boat with all the tools, equipment, parts, etc. to keep the mother ship running so the mother ship, er, yacht, doesn't have to be cluttered up with stuff. The stern of the one that was for sale had a low tugboat kinda stern, probably in the event one has to tow the yacht or one of it's dinghies. Saw an ad for one shadow boat, forget how long (100-ft plus), but it had a 40-ft beam, a helipad, crew quarters for 12 and two deluxe staterooms. The helipad can be used for ferrying guests back and forth and the deluxe staterooms allow the guests a place to to stay if necessary. I would suppose if your yacht has a ULDB as a dingy and you need crew to sail it in some regatta that the shadow boat could also be used for crew quarters for it too.
