My version of that is, “If it seems like a bad idea it probably is.”...My mantra for my 60's is "Don't do dumb s**t!"...

If at first you don't succeed..... give up and find something easier to do.My version of that is, “If it seems like a bad idea it probably is.”
I've had that voice in my head for years but the older I get, the more I listen to it.My version of that is, “If it seems like a bad idea it probably is.”
I remember the first time I *should* have listened to that voice. The instant I placed my foot on the round metal handrail I knew it was a bad idea. It wasn’t until I slipped and broke a rib that I learned my lesson. Turns out that lesson has saved me several times since then. It for sure saved a horrific lawn mower injury and probably saved my life at least once.I've had that voice in my head for years but the older I get, the more I listen to it.
Not to worry. By the time you're in your 70's you'll have forgotten that!My mantra for my 60's is "Don't do dumb s**t!"
Your hearing will be starting to go too so you wouldn't hear yourself!Besides the voice may be wrong...
