Phil,

Thank you for all you've done for SBO and TSBB, also.:clap::clap: Both sites have been lifelines when I had the trailer sailers and even more so with the Tartan. Remember to wear your  while you are laying on the beach, drinking mai-tais!

1996, wow, Phil!

It must have been around 2000(?) that you rescued the whole lot of us from the closing Cruising World Bulletin Board. A few of us were in straight jackets (or should have been). I can't imagine why CW wanted to shut us down.

And you kept taping up the old software format (one step up from AOL chat group format), as the group couldn't change with the times. Your patience was endless.

Thanks for your many kindnesses over the years. Here's hoping your health improves with your next phase.

Thank you!
:plus: I dont know how to say it better. Thank you for everything, Phil.

PS - @TomY ‘s post made Jax :evil:pop into my head, and also brought back memories of the esteemed late Jon Eisberg who taught us all so much and entertained and enthralled us with his amazing stories, skill and writing style. May he rest in peace.
And thank YOU ALL for making this a community with all your contributions.

Phil, I'm another who greatly appreciates all you have done with this forum. SBO gave me a place to ask questions when I bought my first sailboat and is still my go to place for sailing related questions and issues.
I'm so glad we were able to meet in Poulsbo back in 2019 when @jssailem @LeslieTroyer and I were on our Extreme Winter Cruise. It was great to hear the history of SBO and other stories over pizza and then drinks on Les's boat, Mahalo.

Best of luck Phil and Mahalo!

Talk about late to the party! @Phil Herring thank you for putting up with my thirst for knowledge due to my lack thereof. Anyone who will take the time to talk with me on the phone and send me some of Bly’s coffee is a rare gem. Thanks for this fantastic resource and for allowing me to post so much nonsense over the years. Fair winds, my friend!
