I am not against the beauty of the 12 Meter. However, these owners have money and ego, and that is a crazy combination!

Ok... confession... my wife wanted to put "training wheels" on my 272 because the 272 is a tender boat and heels readily. I vetoed the "training wheels," which looked like outriggers when she drew them. However, she is not born to sailing or boats or water or..., and heeling scares her. I do not intend for her to be terrified when we sail, so I bought her a Telstar 28, trimaran. Nicely, I got a boat that is probably 3 times as fast as my 272! No foils... yet! But I am working on it!
