Northwest Passage on a Shoestring

Hi all I am new to this forum and would like some feedback.

I am planning a trip from Sweden-Norway-Scotland-Iceland-Greenland through the Northwest passage this summer. If any of you have experience high lattitude sailing, sailing in ice, required equipment I would like to hear back from you. If you want more detail about the boat, trip etc. check it out and please give me your feedback.

I just read an article about a guy from Long Island who circumnavigated North America. It was in Windcheck Magazine. His name is Capt. Eric Forsyth. He would be someone to talk to because he's done it. He's speaking at Doyle LI Sail loft in Huntington Station NY in February.

Polar sailing

Get the book "North to the Night" by Alvah Simon. Great read and he describes what he had to do to his boat, The Roger Henry so it and him would survive. (Roger Henry was steel.)

Made me shiver just reading it.
