Not to stir the pot again regarding Tim from Detroit's problem with The Canvas Store in Huntington, NY. However, I want to further advise the forum that the man has some serious business problems. I ordered a tent/boom cover for my 35' Hunter Legend at the Norwalk, CT boat show in the middle of September. I was told that the order would be completed within a month. In the middle of October I called to find out the status of the order. I was told that it would be completed within a week. By the week before Thanksgiving I still had not received the cover. I called again and was told that they do NOT HAVE A pattern for a 35' Hunter Legend. Thank you for telling me two months later. I did get a refund on my credit card. However, it would seem to me that if he knew that he did not have a pattern he should have said so. In any event I am not impressed. Also a friend who bought a cover from him a last year sent the cover back for additional tie-downs and they were not attached properly or in the correct spots as marked.

Sheesh!

From what I've read on this forum it appears that this guy is one bad guy to deal with. Personally I deal with a local canvas shop. I can talk to the builder any time I want and adjustments require me to merely go to his shop or he can come to the boat as needed. He's a bit more expenive than some "discount" fabricators but some things are simply worth the peace of mind and high quality. My two cents.
