that Hunter came up with last fall unfortunately doesn't solve the problem, at least on my boat. (FYI) The problem was that the stove, on some boats, would go out if/when you opened a cabinet door. The solution was to install a 4" vent to allow for more air for the stove. Sounded good to me. I installed a round 4" vent in the cooler well directly adjacent to the stove. Alas, the problem still exists, so I guess I'll just live with it. Just wanted to let 260 owners know to watch out for that. Tom M.

mine too

We just make a habit of leaving the cabinet door ajar while cooking. Not very handy sometimes

The 2001 has the vent built in.

Tom, What year is your 260? We just took delivery of a 2001 and there is a 4" vent already built into the cooler well. I was wondering what is was for and I think you solved the mystery. I haven't had many problems, but it has only been in the water for a week & I've only used the stove once.

Haven't installed ours yet

But will probably get around to it over the 4th. Hope it works. But it may not be enough to equalize the pressure.

We've learned not to open the doors real fast. The vent sounds interesting. Could someone who has one take a picture and place it on the site. Jim S/V Java
