Club race a couple of weeks ago. Winds fickle as heck. The committee boat caught this shot just about the time we caught a puff and rounded up.

She rounded up and we went on to finish 3rd on that race which kind of stunk because we rounded the downwind mark at least 2 minutes ahead of anyone else. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory as it were.

Easing the main would have helped there..... Always have that in hand, never cleated.

At least your bottom paint looks good!

Nice pictures of the fall colors!

I was on the wheel and the owner/skipper was trimming. It happened so fast I wasn't sure what was going on till it was too late. Still made for a "good" pic, sail in the water rudder pretty much out.
He uses VC-17 bottom paint. It's been in the water since late March early april.

Always when racing, but cruising, too?
If it's windy. Yes.
That's how I sail my Siren 17. It dosn't round up thought. It fills with water and turns upside down. (So I'm told.) I've been to the filling with water stage a few times. I couldn't ever get the Mac's to do that. I tried. Always with a hand on the main sheet and ready to dump the jib too.
With the Siren 17 I can get like that with the jib alone.
