Done that way just to make it fit flush! If it was that hard to access to repair I can just imagine what a nightmare it would have been to plug when it failed.

BOY, sure does make me glad I had ALL thru hulls replaced.

This was the first thing I had done when I bought the boat and it it hit the shiprayd. ALL THRUHULLS REPLACED!!!

Mike the machanic thought I only needed the engin intake thruhull done, but I said no way, I WANT THEM ALL DONE!!! AND ADD ONE FOR THE FUTURE AC HOOKUP!
