That noise

removehtml]Hunter neglected to screw down the compression post plate on my 320, so I helpfully obliged. Then I heard a "CRACK!" and wondered if I split the fiberglass base. No visible fissures, and the boat didn't sink. Maybe it was that strange noise that fiberglass makes when it's torqued too hard. Any advice welcome. Thanks. Was it the top (doghouse roof) side or the hull or sole side?

You are right to be concerned. Crack is neither a good sound nor a good drug.

Call Hunter

Give Hunter a call. I understand that their customer support is pretty good. Some one on the Hunter board I am sure, can give you the proper number.
