This will be the second year aboard. Stove is way too small for a full bird so we just cook a breast.
Last year, in warmer weather, I cooked a proscuito wrapped turkey breast on the grill...fantastic!

Wow that sounds so good. My wife wanted me to wrap our 16 pd turkey in bacon but I believe in tradition, and since I do all of the cooking it will be my way. Just don't tell her!

So who cooks a thanksgiving meal on a sailboat? Let us know how it goes.
This will be the first in a few that we have not spent Thanksgiving aboard. Nothing better than a saloon warmed by a bird roasting in the galley, a light breeze and a sunny chill Chesapeake day. Find one of those remote eastern shore anchorages, share dinner with some friends, count our many blessings and give thanks in a quiet way. Maybe see our national bird in the morning...

Thanks Bill and happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
Our bird is in the smoker, to be accompanied by sweet potaotes in about an hour!

Happy Bird-day

It's getting cold outside...Have not sailed in three weeks...Don't know when I'll get on the water again. Now even the gravy boat is looking better and better.
