I had a couple big projects to do on my H26 yesterday and wanted to thank a few folks...I broke the jib halyard sheave this year raising my mast. Julian at US Spars was, as always, an enormous help. He sent me the new part and walked me thru the install so it was just like I had done it before. It was especially helpful since I did it with the mast up and did the work lifted from a gin pole. He also gave me some great tips on tensioning the rig. Really priceless...best, most simple, advice I've gotten on the subject. I'll take his word for it, he builds the stuff so I'm sure he knows best. This guy is a huge wealth of knowledge and is willing to share.Next, I needed to change a badly damaged extrusion on my CDI roller furler. Joe at CDI sent me a new one for a very reasonable cost. It got here quick and he also described the job well, making it easy. I got stuck on one part half way through, called Joe, and he walked me through the rest of the way. This guy really knows his product. Again, he built it, so he knows it. I have not been a fan of CDI on this site, but I must admit that this go 'round my experience with Joe's customer service was great. I'm a fan now. It was certainly cheaper to replace the extrusion than the whole unit, the furler works much better now, and Joe got me through troubleshooting and fixing the problem. Finally, I want to thank Crazy Dave. I bought my boat from him, and traveled a total of over 1000 miles to do it. It was worth the trip(s). He also knows this boat inside and out and he led me to Julian and Joe for their knowledge. Oh he's got an opinion or two, but we all love him because we know that the bottom line with Dave is accuracy and safety. We have boats and boats break. A lot. It sure is good to have people around us with a thorough knowledge of their product, who care to get the customer back on the water where we want to be. Thanks guys.Gerard
