Hi Mark Just wanted to thank you for the info regarding the company "Clamcleat" at www.clamcleat-rope-cleats.com. They do have that clamcleat that "breaks away" and it sounds perfect for the H240 rudder issue. In fact, when I contacted them I advised that they contact Hunter and see if they can convince the Hunter folks to use the CL257 rather than the clamcleats they currently use. Anyway, thanks for the specific help. Will let you know how the cleats work when we get back in the water this spring. Bill Welsch S/V Renewal

Mark is correct about the small one which I have seen used but years ago I did see one that would accept 1'2 inch line but can not recall the manufacturer. Maybe someone has seen it and can advise. The simplest way to hold down the rudder is tightening the rudder head with the handle that is welded to the nut as previously mentioned.
