Just wanted to thank everyone that answered my questions a few weeks back. Closed and moved aboard my H34 and am loving every second of it. Plenty of storage and a delight to sail. Just wish I could get the stink out of the holding tank.RobinHeathen

Stink

Hi,To help with the stink, switch to fresh water for flushing, either with a gallon jug next to the head, or tee off the shower cold water, add a ball valve,and use the fresh water tank to flush. Then use Peal products, they do work !!!

Tank or hoses?

Robin:You mention that the tank stinks. Are you sure that it is not the hoses.If you do not have HIGH quality hose the smell can be awful. Check out the Head Mistress forum and find out about cleaning up your system and testing the hoses to see if they are bleeding. John makes a good point about seawater. If you look back in the archives you will see many posts regarding critters in the lines. This is also referenced in the Head Mistress Forum too.
