I got mine installed with the help of you folks on line. I was a little concerned about having it in the walk way on the port side, but now I'm glad I put it there. It would really be a pain having to work around it when raising and lowering the outboard. Took it out for a short sail last night by myself. It was great being able to raise and lower the main without having to try to juggle the tiller. Can't wait until the roller furling system and new sail comes in.

Congrats on Your Autohelm

Congrats on the Autohelm! Last night I just finished the install on my H260. The installation went great but I had a lot of trouble interfacing the Autohelm (Raytheon ST1000) with the GPS (Garmin 76). From your post I can tell we installed the units in the same location on the boat. I am curious which autohelm you installed. Regards, Bob Fliegel, S/V JOYSEA

All I needed was the extra hands. Unit including the pedestal and tiller bracket was about $375. Sailing in places that I need a GPS are only a dream so far.
