on your recent photo/project forum post, I was thinking about doing the same project to widen my narrow table. Questions is: Is there any supoprt under the leaves when folded out, or are the hinges themselves the only support?

Hi Scott, the SS hinges provide all the leaf...
support. So far has not been a problem. I suppose if someone leaned or tried to sit on them they might fail...actually the hinges can support the weight but the screws would probably pull out or become loose. Terry
