True, However, USCG regs don't require that the y-valve handle be removed...you can use a wire--tie to secure it.
Yes, I assumed so, but on my boat there's no good way to do that, and it's easy to just remove one screw and remove the handle.

your "snap" system is not valid i believe. also, canada's laws are different. stricker for sure. i have had my system carefully checked by CG. do not believe you will pass their review.

How is that? I assume you're referring to the Canadian Coast Guard - what's the regulation? (Can you please quote it?).

I don't know where this notion of a "snap system" came from, I just used a figure of speech to indicate that the system can be made operation or not in a short period of time. There's no regulation I am aware of that specifies how long it must take to make it operational. You?
