I got mine...

...at Boater's World. I also see it in the catalogs for WM, BoatUS and Boaters World. WM sells a liquid Head Lubricant that you pour into the toilet and let it sit in the pump for 12 hours. No need to disassemble that way.

I followed Peggy's instructions...

and ordered Super Lube teflon grease through my local Boat US store (It's in the West Marine catalog which they can now order from). It made a world of difference, in fact, it pumps better than new. I think Peggy will tell you that the pour in stuff doesn't last long, and may not be good for your holding tank's digestion.

On lubing the head

Investigated Super Lube at Lowes...comes in a spray can like WD-40. If your interested in a similar product, Slick 1 can be found at automotive stores...given the lack of viscosity, I question whether either product would hold up. I found teflon grease at West Marine, its used to lube trailor hitches...although it makes my Jabsco run smoooooth, it doesn't last that long and reapplication is necessary after 3/4 weekends. As a bike rider I have always used a lithium based grease on parts that are exposed to the elements and I'm wondering if this might work better/last longer...Anyone out there have any thoughts on this alternative.

Thick grease in a tube, not spray or liquid

Sprays and liquids wash out in just few flushes. Super Lube makes a bunch of lubricants...the only one you want is synthetic teflon grease. It doesn't have to be the SuperLube brand. Lithium grease is recommended for winches and machinery exposed to the elements, to protect metal gears etc. Teflon grease is used in equipment that has rubber parts which are continually exposed to water...swimming pool and hot tub pumps--and marine toilets--because it's water soluble, so it doesn't leave an oil slick, but lasts a long time.

Amazon.com sells it

I bought some from Amazon.com (see link) - follow Peggy's advice and no more hard pumping! I couldn't find any locally, but Amazon sent it in a couple of days.
