We just purchased a 1985 Hunter 31. The teak is rather dark and I would like to refinish. What are my options for cleaning and refinishing products. Also the sole needs to be cleaned as well. Thanks

Teak refinish

You may want to look in the archives. I took most of my teak off and it had to be sanded because of the weathering of it. This lightened it up alot. There are teak cleaners out there but I have never used them. Rob Morton

Try denatured alcohol for cleaning

the teak. It will safely remove the dirt, grime, and old oil preparing it for your new finish. I used it in preparation for varnishing my interior and it cleaned the teak amazingly well. Alcohol stove fuel is the same thing.

Limes

I read in Tania Aebi's book that limes rubbed on teak will clean it up nicely.

Teak finishing

After you have the teak cleaned and sanded, the best finish by far is Cetol. It's long lasting and looks good.
