Does anyone know where I can find the approx. 2mm x 1 1/4" teak strips used on O'day 322s as decorative moldings in the V berth and on the galley drawer fronts?
Thanks. -Alastair L-C.

2mm is a bit thin for dimensional lumber and too thick for veneer. Do you have a friend with a planer ??

Thanks Les. Yes, that's exactly my problem and why I'm having trouble finding it. No friend with planer. I'm thinking of gluing two veneers together but that's not ideal.

If you are in seattle area you can come over and use mine. It is thinner than my planner supports so would need to be taped to a carrier board

Or if you happen to be visiting Tucson in the near future. I still have my DeWalt lunchbox planer, and I'd be happy to run some teak through it for you.

You might check with Rudy Nickerson at D & R Marine in Assonet, Massachusetts
Rudy was the parts manager for O'Day for many years and is still a great source for anything O'day.

Thanks Patrick. I've had many profitable chats with Rudy. I haven't asked him about the teak, but I shall. -Alastair
