I am a new Hunter 23 owner and new sailor. I want to refinish the wood in the cabin and v berth area. Is it better to use teak oil or use polyurethane? thanks, Russell

try this-

Guido's majic mystery mix. For interior wood, Mix 1/3 spar varnish, 1/3 turpentine, and 1/3 linseed oil, Put in a splash of penitrol. clean the wood with murphys oil soap. wipe on the mix with a rag, put it on pretty wet, then wait about 15 min, and wipe off any excess with a rag. you may want 2 coats. comes up great, nice satin finish, holds up forever, touch it up by spotting in the same way. We put a pint in a vinegar bottle with a small opening so you can easily put it on the rag. Don,t ask too much about guido, i think he is still doing time. Try it on a sample and see what you think! I like cetol light on the outside with nothing over it.
