I finally finished the descriptions for all my interior refinish project photos from last winter. This is a great winter project because you can do most everything right up to applying the finish. But as everyone knows a sucessful job is 90% prep, right?

Nice job Tim That is alot of wood. I spread my O'day 23 out over two years because I could not take the boardom of it. I am a cabinet maker by trade so the last thing I want to do is refinish wood on my off time. However now that it is done, when I sit in the boat I am alot happier. I am sure you will enjoy the fruits of your intense labor for the rest of the years you own the boat. Thanks for posting the pics and enjoy.

While Tim's pictures look amazing it looks even better in real life! He and his wife have lots of patience and it was a huge job. It literally looks better than new.. If I remember correctly they used Varathane oil based polyurethane in a satin finish..

All boats in Maine look like this... we don't have heated barns... we sail 1 month a year.

Hell I almost fainted when I saw her two weeks before the truck showed up for launch day. You guys buttoned her up in record time!!:dance:

You are so right... It looked like someone unscrewed every kind if interior fastener... loaded her on a hauler upside down... traveled 100 miles on back roads... then put her back on jack-stands. The head... sitting on the nav table... put me into cardiac arrest!

It is zero out right now and getting motivated to go out and work on her is not working. I have a few medium sized projects this year but I also have photos from many projects over the last two years. Good day to get them updated to the web. I will post some links when I get more done.

I don't think there is any place in the world (though I haven't been to all of them yet) where the brightwork on boats is any better than on the boats in Maine. Most everywhere I go there, I am totally impressed with the beauty of varnished exteriors.

Sorry Gary, my admiral says that is on a need to know basis only. God forbid you pull into an anchorage and we have the same fabric on our cushions ;-)

Actually I have no idea. They came with the boat. I will take a look tomorrow to see if there are any markings on them.

Gary, the interior was buuilt by S&S Fabric Products in Portsmouth, NH. Here is a link to their website: http://www.ssfabricproducts.com/index.html

There were no markings that indicated the fabric.

Bob, I used a Fein Multimaster with a flush cut wood blade. I thought I documented that.
