What's "composite?" Teak? I just removed all the Cetol from my handrails, a fun job if I say so myself.

After years and years of doing everything from bare, to oil, to varnish (NEVER again!!!) to cetol, I'm going back to the let it go gray school.
Your boat, your choice.
Stainless is a great idea. My understanding is that the manufacturer has made them to match, or else it wouldn't be such a good idea, right?
For our Catalina 34s, there have been a series of boats, which we call Mark Is, Mark 1 1/4, Mark 1 1/2 and the Mark 2s which has NO above deck teak at all. The Mark Is had standard teak. The middle versions had combinations with some of the later Mark 1 1/4s and Mark 1 1/12s (which didn't have the Mark II larger cockpits) with no teak and stainless, whether or not they had the early versions of the walk through transoms. One of our members and the Fleet 1 (San Francisco) Cruise Director has a Mark 1 1/2 which is the traditional Mark I hull form with the walk through transom and stainless handrails. Sweet. Other Mark 1 1/2s have teak. Don't know if he or his PO switched to the stainless or whether it came that way from the factory.
