Teak Grate on My Hunter 36

Finally Picked up the new Teak Grate for the head area in front of the sink on my 2007 Hunter 36. No more need for carpets that don't fit in the odd shaped floor pan area bellow the sink. This piece is a perfect match for the one in the shower area.Looking forward to dropping it in the floor pan this weekend.

After a coat of teak oil the final installation. Couldn't be happier with the final results what a nice addition to what is in the shower pan. So much continuity now

Very nice looking.

We did the same thing over the winter. Had a guy build a grate for the sink area to match the one in the shower/toilet area of the head. Looks much more finished now. Wife loves it.

Could you please give me more information as to where I can obtain this grate? Did you buy it online?

No I actually ended up buying it from a guy who custom makes them in Whitehall Michigan where we keep the boat.
His last name is Wesley and he specializes in wooden boat restoration and interior wood projects. It was kind of pricey as the teak was expensive ($600 for materials alone) probably could have used a less expensive wood But he did a perfect match with the existing grate and my wife is thrilled with it so I guess the cost was worth it.

Aloha.
Does it sit down into the recessed area? My H376 has a round cover over the sump drain. If on top, how do you keep it from sliding around?

Mine is fitted down in to the recess. Let me see if I can upload a picture. It should be attached

You should be able to see picture I hope.
I'm on vacation and sailing of course. The marina we are in has intermittent internet service so it's hard to tell.

It shows on my screen as a blank box but when I click on it the picture does open

Let me see what I can find out when I get back to home port. I actually worked through our marina service person who contracted with the wood worker.
