Does anyone know what Hunter Marine used for varnish on exterior teak in 1996. I have only the teak ribs on the rail seats but before I stripped them all down, I thought I would see what might have been used when the boat was constructed.
Alan, I don't know what Hunter used originally, but I just stripped and refinished mine with three coats of Cetol. They look fine. Make sure you remove them from the seat first. I painted the underside of the slats with epoxy hoping to get better protection since water tends to seat there. S/V Calaloo
