I need to repair/replace some of my cabin sole. Can't seem to find a source for the teak and holly floor panels. Anyone out there have any tips? sailbode@gis.net

H&L in Ranco Dominquez, California 323/636-1718 makes many of the quality marine wood accessories and can do a floor panel. But, agree with Ed, try Hunter first. They gave me an excellent quote for a replacement panel. RD

Sole Material
Most lumber (hardwood) dealers that supply to the marine trade will carry teak & holly ply in various thicknesses. Be ready to pay dearly though.

Do you need to match the pattern?
Don: Something to consider before you order any teak sole is the spacing. If you need to match the existing floor be sure to check the spacing of the holly strips. Also there are sources for teak/holly sole that is NOT veneer. It is teak/holly mounted on thin plywood. This is something to consider if you are replacing it in a high traffic area. Much easier to refinish in the future.
