A few years ago I noticed the "antique vehicle" status on restored autos 25yrs and older and wondered if this was applicable to boats. After talking to several county tax clerks (persistance pays off) I learned that antique status was indeed availble in Florida for boats by filing a simple form. Has anyone checked on this in other states? My annual registeration fee dropped from over $80 to $4.25 and I recieved an "antique boat" sticker.
