I need a suggestion. I have a 1970 34C Tartan and want to install a anchor roller. Problem is the distance between the center station of the bow pulpit and the rope chock is only 2 1/2". I use a Danforth anchor 25lbs.
I used to hang it off the bow pulpit that that was a pain in the butt.
I have found a few rollers but they are all in catalogs, I would rather see one in person. Can anyone offer a suggestion?

Contact Garhauer Marine. They can even do some custom stuff if you need it. I think that they will send you a drawing if needed.

You may want to consider changing anchors before you commit to a Danforth. (just a suggestion).

Just a followup on Steve's suggestion to change anchors...

Danforths and their variations (Fortress, for example) seem to do pretty well in mud or sand, but they do not have a good reputation for re-setting if the wind direction (or current) changes significantly. And they seem to pick up weeds pretty well.

Lewmar Deltas have good reputations in the cruising world, original Bruce anchors are prized, and "next generation" anchors like Rocna, Manson Supreme, and Mantus have won adherents.

Do your research, pay your money, take your chances...

Oh, and Deltas and Bruces (and Bruce knock offs) generally fit very well in bow rollers. Some of the next gens can fit nicely as well. Possibly better than a Danforth style...
