tansom angle etc

I'm putting and outboard on the back of my '79 Catalina 27 but the angle of the transom require I have a 4 inch or so spacer (I don't know what you'd even call it) made so I can easily lift the bracket handle to lift the engine without the handle hitting the transom.Anyway, I found a local machine shop that will mill the the job for a coupla hundred bucks but he needs to know the angles on the transom so the side the spacer will sit flush against the transom and result in the site that will connect to the bracket is perpendicular to the water.I'm going to mount the bracket in the middle of the transom and move the swim ladder to one side.Can anyone help?Cheers,Mo

or Catalina Yachts' website and look for a brochure or a boat manual. I doubt if there'd be anything more detailed, bother than engineering drawings of the boat which would most likely not be available.
