I am thinking of installing tank monitors on my boat. The diesel tank is aluminum, the water and holding tanks are fiberglass. Has anyone installed any? What typ and what were your results?

Thanks
John

Re: Check out the Profile gauges

Thanks Peggie, your recommendation goes a long way. I have been looking at those and they look good, but I do find the web site confusing. I'll let my thoughts gel a bit and send them an email with my questions.

Re: Check out the Profile gauges

Sailors Solutions sells one that looks the same called a SCAD Profile. Is this the same? There are a lot of these monitors out there that look almost the same and I'm trying to figure out what the differences are.

Differences are in quality and durability

And price...some that aren't as good cost a lot more!

Give Dennis a call with your questions instead of emailing...he's easy to reach and will take all the time you need to sort everything out for you.

I have a Seafit in my head tank. Big problem is that it warns me only when the tank is full. It would be a lot more useful if it gave me a warning with a gallon to go.

Re: Check out the Profile gauges

I found Dennis Ferriello to be a superb source of tech support for his company. Calibration is much more flexible on these than on older generation systems and you don't need a special sensor for your diesel tank if your current sender is working.

Better Website, Same Product?

Check out this website for more, better organized, info on the Profile Tank Monitors.

New Providence Marine Systems http://www.newprovidencemarine.com/

Dennis Ferriello of Ferriello Sales, LLC is listed on this site as the contact for more information at (435) 656-0042.

I contacted Dennis back in 2007 and purchased a system directly through him and even got a better price than those listed on either website.

The system has been installed over a year now and works great. Don't know how we ever cruised without it.
