A loaded question

It all depends on what kind of trip you want to make it. Do you want to see a lot of interesting places on the ICW or do you want to make a fast trip on the outside. What kind of sailboat do you have?. If you cut across the state at Ft. Myers you will have that railroad bridge clearance to deal with. Need help to go the ICW?

We are purchasing a Brewer 12.8 in Palmetto and want to bring her to Charleston. Unfortunately, it will not be a vacation. We are being quoted $2200 to decommission her and $2600 for the trucking. I'm looking for a better alternative. The cost to decommission in Charleston & Oriental is only around $1000. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks
