I am down in Florida and Tally Ho, my 1988 O’Day 322 is high and dry and shivering at our marina in the Chicago area.
But imaging my surprise when I was looking through the Monday Mail Newsletter a few weeks go, and there I all her glory was Tally Ho!
That photo was actually taken before I owned her, and the previous owner Bill had her out with the spinnaker flying. I don’t even know for sure how I got the photo…maybe Bill sent it to me and I posted it to SBO, or Bill posted it when he owned her.
Regardless, it was a fun surprise, and I can’t wait until the ice breaks up, the marinas on Lake Michigan open and I can get Tally Ho in the water this year. I usually work on her over the winter and am ready to launch on April 1. But since I am in a Florida (and probably won’t be back north until May), I will have to hurry to apply a coat of VC17, grease the MaxProp and get her wet!
