The tall ships are in here in Greenport! I'll try to post some pics but it's too foggy now to get photos

Truly a sight for sore eyes. One can only imagine what it must of been like 200 yrs ago hanging around the harbor.

G-Port Tall Ships

Here are a few:
The bow on shot is the Bounty reproduction which I believe was used in the movie (I think the old one but I'm not sure). I think it has been restored maybe several times. I also wonder if it's a partial size reproduction. If I were a movie producer I would build a small reproduction and make it look larger with the camera.
Some will recognize Preston's and Sons in the background of one shot - that is useful for scaling. Note the crew in the rigging.
There'll be an Alden Schooner here tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting a eyeful of that.

Its not very big! Maybe Bligh was better off in the longboat. Seriously, that's not a lot of boat to voyage in.
