I’m fortunate to live in the St Lawrence seaway where I often see tall ships underway, crewed by young people starting their journey to “find themselves”. I’m somewhat envious of the adventure they have as at that age I was already working and perhaps taking a different path on that journey we all take.
I saw this beauty today off Fairfield Park near Kingston on a typical thermal wind day. There is a reason they held the 1976 Olympic sailing events in Kingston!
I’m always amazed at how fast they can tack if handled properly.
