Hello, I have a Tall Rig C25. I would like to have the additional clearance below the boom that the standard rig has. Can I just find a standard rig sail, raise the boom, and call it good? There are limited numbers of C25s available in my area and I liked this boat but knew that the tall rig would eventually be a nuisance. I am not a racer and would just like to have the clearance so I can run a bimini. Thanks, Andrew

Try the C25 website - use link

plus, all you need to do is shorten the foot of your mainsail and raise the boom higher in the mast.

Reef it

How about just reefing your main UP, and raising the boom up accordingly? Then you have not modified the boat.

C25 Tall Rig

The statndard rig boom is 1 foot higher, and the mast is 2 feet shorter. If you put on a mainsail from a standard, you will raise the boom 3 feet if you hoist to the mast head. That may be a bit too much for proper sail trim.
