Tall Rig / Std. Rig

I'm looking to purchase a Catalina 30, but not sure what the difference is between the tall rig and the Std. rig. I'v been looking at alot of catalina 30's, and have not had a solid answer to that question. Thanks for you help.

I have an '86 tall rigged Catalina. The big difference is that the mast on the TR is 42 feet tall vs 40 feet for the standard. when you add a bow spirt to the boat it adds up to more sail area and a center of effort that is slightly more forward thus balancing the boat better. At least that is the theory!Tim
