Well, after sailing Hobie cats for a few years and lurking about this board, I have decided to take the plunge and get into a larger boat for lake cruising with the family. I believe I have found a decent starter boat. She's a 1974 Portager 22 swing keel trailer sailor. She appears to be in good condition and comes with a full compliment of sails, motor, very nice trailer, etc. Her small size and trailerability should be just right for my family of four for day sailing and an occasional overnight. And the price is definitely right! Any advice you old salts would care to impart on a newbie? Anything I should be aware of? All info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Nick
