Taking a trip from Palm Beach to the Florida Keys

We have a 260 Hunter with a swing up keel. Would like to take a trip to the Florida Keys and request information on where to drop our hook on the way down. Which inlets should we enter.
If you can give us any info that will help it would be greatly appreciated. We are planning on a 3-4 week trip. We enjoy scuba diving and catching lobsters as well. Any knowledge about fishing and lobstering in the keys would be greatly appreciated.

I want to do that so bad. Last year that was the plan. And then the gas price went up to 4.00$. That sure put a stop to driving from Dallas to the Keys towing a boat.

You are sure going to have fun. If you solve the riddle of when and where to keep your car and trailer for four weeks let me know.

Last time I was there I ran into a fellow sailor that brought a McGregor from Chicago to Bahia Honda State Park. Nice and protected, with a beach! It might be a good place to return to as needed...
