Tacking in heavy winds

I have a 1987 Macgregor 25, and I was having the same problem. When I would set
the mast I would set the rake between 4 to 6 inches and the boat was hard to tack.
After Playing around with rake angles, I set the mast plum and my problems went
away. Can you tell me more about a water ballast Mac 25.

Everything there is to know about a water ballast Mac 25 can be summed up in three words. "They don't exist." All Mac 26's, on the other hand, are water ballasted.
