Where does the Tachometer connect on an 3JH3E? I installed a new 75amp Balmar alternator and regulator. When finishing up the directions spoke of a connection for the tachometer on the regulator if it has an electric tach. I wasn't sure so I finished up the install and startrd the engine and there was no tach indication...Well I ran out of time and am now just going to be able to get back to the boat. I planned on tracing the line from the old alternator (the T plug on the old Hitachi) and connecting it to the regulator..well since then I have read that the T plug has nothing to do with the Tach. Somebody else told me that the reading comes from the flywheel...but I didn't disconnect anything on the flywheel, at least intentionally, which leads me to think it does come from the alternator.... Anyway..I would like to have an idea of what I am going to do before I make the drive so if anybody knows specifically where the tach is attached I would be most grateful! Thanks Brian
