It's been two months, and I still can't get the yard to address my dead tachometer. The fuel guage doesn't work either, and I'm not sure if there's a link. More important, I'm wondering if because the tach isn't registering whether the alternator is working. Eh?

Tach

I recently had a problem with the fuel and tach gauges not functioning on my hunter 386. In both cases it turned out that the wire connector had just become disconnected. Easily solved. It would be a shame to have to pay a mechanic if that turns out to be the problem. Good luck. Norm P.

connections

It never hurts to check & clean all connections as well as battery & ground connections.
