Table Lowering H31

Is there a way to lower the table on the Hunter 31 to make it a bunk? I've looked at it and cant find any obvious way to do it. The kids friends need a place to sleep!!Thanks

Dan: Unless your table was changed (and assuming you have one of the mid-80's 31's), the table is relatively easy to lower. On mine, you simply pull up the whole table, remove the single "leg" and lay it on the seat edges. The cushion backs go on the table and you have a bed....not very comfortable, but fine for kids (I don't have any, but I figure their backs are still maliable enough for the uneven cushions!) H31 table removal

We use our "table bunk" all the time. The kids love it. It sounds to me that the post may just be stuck in the flange on the bottom of the table, from non-use. Try tapping gently from underneath with a rubber mallet. Where the post enters the flange is just a friction fit, nothing to loosen or remove. Let me know how you make out.
