We recently purchased a 1996 400. Has any one ever removed the cabin table and replaced it with somthing about the size of a coffe table, but padded on top that could be used as a foot stool. I saw this done recently in one of the sailing magazines, not on a Catalina. I like the idea of more room in the cabin and think we would use this more than the big table, on a daily basis. Thanks for any info.

table size, no reason you can't do the same, with whatever covering you choose.
