Ahoy. I need a little help here, as I dont know the proper name for the part I am looking for. I have a tabernackle mast base, that I dont intend to use that way. It has two pins roughly 1/2" or 3/8" so the mast can go either way. Thes pins are the part that I dont know the name of. What I would like to do is get longer pins so I can add some blocks to the pins , so I can run my halyards back too the cockpit. The goal is to not drill any more hole than is neccesary. Any ideas diagrams or pictures arte greatly appreciated.

Thanks Buzz

That looks like my tabernackle base, Catalina direct has the baseplate and it also has a set of holes to attach the vang.(holes on 3 sides) I just dont want to pull the mast to add the base plate. Seems like it is a potential can of worms. I saw a pic somewhere that had extended hingepins with the blocks attached to them, Thanks for your response

Those are called "pip pins" when installed on aircraft, my guess would be hinge pins for your hinged mast step, aluminum or stainless pins can be bought at an aircraft hardware company but like marine hardware, they ain't cheap

Good evening Frank. I installed a Dwyer tabernackle for my L25 that wasn't listed in their on-line catalog. I called them and ordered one that had holes drilled on three sides. That way I have a set of holes to mount my boom vang too. I too may order the hinge. Steve
