T-track replacement question

I am going to replace my t-track with a longer one. My question is how to you bend the new track to fit the toe rail? The new track is straight, and the toe rail is not. As you can see I have not done this before. I hope this is not a dumb question. Looking forward to all replys.Dale

I have done this. You start at one end, bending it just enough to get the next hole in place, which it will do, and repeat to the end. It helps to have another person assist.

to clarify a little...

Get the first two screws/bolts in, then bend to match the next hole or locate it where you want it, get that screw in, etc.

I re-used my old tracks...

...after pulling them to re-bed leaky tracks, but can't get all the bolts back in-place. Where the hull exterior/interior "shells" meet offers no clearance to thread the nuts. I plan to seal the old holes, move the track about 3 inches, and use screws instead of bolts where I don't have the room to thread the nuts/washers. The boat only displaces 4900#--are screws good enough to hold the jib track? Thanks!

Although the track does distribute the load somewhat, You should always have something backing up the strain - big washers or a backing plate would be best. I've seen many boats with small flat washers under tne nuts, and they seem to do fine, but why take chances! Is there no way you can hold the nut in place and get the threads started by screwing the bolt from the top? As Pop Hatcher used to say, "It came outta there, it's got to go back in."
