Not being flippant at all here. Looks like the dock did a pretty good job for you. Looks well tapered so you should have little problem patching her up.
The Marina I stay in is well protected from west and north winds. My slip is fairly well protected from an east wind by its location all the way in the back of the Marina. Which leaves us with the totally unprotected south. To the south is about 24 miles fetch between Green Cove Springs and Jacksonville. Normally not a huge deal until a tropical storm moves in just north of Jacksonville and stops just west of town. I doubled the lines and checked the bilge pump the day before a "minor" sub-tropical storm came through. The minor storm tuned into just shy of hurricane strength tropical storm before blowing through and stalling just west of town setting up about 8 hours of 20 - 40 knt winds blowing straight up the river. Those winds piled up a couple of extra feet of water in the Marina with 4 - 5 ft waves . This was nearly the same set up as T.S. Fay in '08. Fay sank 9 boats and blew about a dozen off their moorings. Beryl sank 3 and blew one off its mooring. The moorings have been vastly improved since Fay. None dragged the one that broke free was moored with chain and snapped a shackle. The installation of floating docks with wave surpressors is supposed to start July first, about a month too late.
