That Was a Good Race!
So it was your boat that was in front of us! We were there with our then-new 35 (wanted the 34 but they got sold out). The dealer sponsored the race and there were a lot of boat entered. We did fairly well but couldn't catch that H-34 just in front of us on the last dead-downwind leg so we were the boat just behind you! Got some pictures of your boat between us and the finish line but can't scan them because of scanner set-up problems (dumb me for turning the computer on without the scanner connected and dumb Bill G for programming the software the way he did!).As I recall you had a 150 and we had the OEM 110. Lesson learned: Horsepower (in this case, sail area) counts! We later bought a 150 and it's worked out well. That was a really fun rendezvous. Back in the days when moorage at Port Ludlow was reasonably cheap and before all the new ticky-tacky pastel townhouse development ruined the landscape.Did you moor your boat at Port Orchard then? That was a great rendezvous.
