Keel problems
Sharon,Scince the keel hangs on the pin, it should have worn on the top (upper) side of the hole and the bottom (lower) side should be close to the original position. Mine was not worn all the way, just elongated some. The trick is to get a machine shop to set the keel up true and perpendicular and re-bore the hole for a stainless steel bushing. The finished keel wants to hang square and perpendicular to the hull so that port and starboard tacks are equall. The exact position can vary as there is room in the trunk to hang and will only change the hanging angle slightly. After the repair, I faired and shaped mine and added catalina Directs aftermarket stuff. My tacks are equall and there is no clunking either.Good Luck
