Arr Swabs, I am the owner of a 1975 32' Center Cockpit O'Day, love it and what a great sailing vessel as I went from a Catamaran to the O'Day.

Ok I am having troubles under the water line with the swing keel, yep it happend the retracting cable gave way and now it's just down ! I am going to be hauling it out of the water on Wednesday for a look see and repair. I would like to find and exploded view of how this thing is rigged up so I can buy the right stuff instead of the stuff I think I will need as it hangs in the travel lift for and hour or two (2).
So if you have and skinny on this procedure I would be great full.

Go to D&R marine. Their web site has parts for O'days by model number. You should find everything you need there.

So I just got done replacing the cable on my 28 while I was in the yard. The previous owner had tied a peice of 5/8" double braid to the shackle. AS a result it was hard to pull up and the keel wouldn't go up all the way. I don't know how it was originally set up. But you can see the bottom end of it. The cable goes up the hole into boat and over a halyard lift block then to a cheek block on deck and down to a single block with becket. My cable runs all the way to the block and the swedge stops at the cheek block.
