water coming up into cabin area from piping that guides line that holds up the center board in the trunk. I can see where there must be a block in the trunk to guide the line but I have no idea where the center board is hinged. There is no evidence inside the cabin. I suspect water is forced up into the "pipe" while underway and coming out before it exits in the cockpit.

Hose is missing!

There should be a short length of hose (clamped at both ends) to connect the pipe coming out od the keel and the pipe in the deck. It sounds like that is missing on your boat.The CB pivots on a nylon pin, held in to the bottom of the keel by a pair of wedges that are themselves held in by a pair of stainless-steel plates that screw on to the bottom of the keel. It is virtually impossible to get a leak into the cabin from the CB pivot. Those screws that hold the plates on can be resealed using a bit of marine sealant (silicone or polysulfide, DO NOT USE polyurethane, it is permanenant!)

THANK YOU ROD JOHNSON...THE HOSE HAD DETERIORATED! IF YOU HAD TO REPLACE IT WHILE THE BOAT IS IN THE WATER, PUT A 1" PLUG IN THE TRANSOM DRAIN, REMOVE HOSE (WIRE RE-INFORCED)& REPLACE WITH 11 1/2" LENGTH OF 1" ID "WONDER HOSE. THE BEST WAY TO DO IT IS BY REMOVING THE PANEL BETWEEN THE REAR PORT STORAGE COMPARTMENT & THE CABIN, THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO LAY DOWN UNDER THE GUNNELS AND REACH THE CENTER OF THE BOAT AT THE TRANSOM.
